A late Bronze Age bronze armilla

The ridged bronze torque, embellished with geometric motifs composed of concentric curves and lines, Carpathian Basin (Hungary), circa 800 B.C. ex collection William Talbot Ready (1857 - 1914), 19th Century Label stuck to the inside of the bangle reading "Bronze Armilla from the of Mr W Ready, Rathbone Place, W. Price 360. 12 July 1886. William Talbot Ready started as a restorer and curator at the British Museum, leaving his post to become a dealer in classical coins in 1886 when he took over the company Rollin and Feuardent. His father and two of his brothers also worked at the British Museum as restorers.
